Eggs of various sizes are produced from the three types of chickens that live at CURLY FLATS Farm, the Shintoku Jidori (Hokkai Jidori II) and Brahma breeds, and their mixes.
All of these breeds are mainly used for meat, but they lay a small number of eggs with good flavor. The Brahma breed also has the characteristic of laying eggs consistently during the winter.
During the summer, they eat green grass, small insects, and other foods they want to eat, as well as grains and rice, based on compound feed.
The number of eggs laid may increase or decrease depending on the time of year, so please inquire in advance if you would like eggs.
