These goats came to us a few months after they were born. We took good care of them, feeding them milk and taking them for daily walks in our light truck. The goats are mainly a mix of a white breed called Zahnen and an alpine breed. Some of them graze year-round, eating green grass, young leaves of trees, and a little hay in the pasture in the summer, and wheat, mixed feed, and hay in the winter. Because of their carefree grazing lifestyle, their meat is light and has little of the characteristic smell of goats. Most of the animals are pets, but there are plans to increase production for food and dairy use.
