Kurobuta pork

Kurobuta pork

A purebred Berkshire Kurobuta from registered parents introduced from a certified Kurobuta production farm.

The Berkshires are raised on pasture where they can spend their free time with the blessings of water from the Hidaka Mountains and wind from the Pacific Ocean.

The Berkshires are grazed so that they can spend their time freely.

Because of their small size, they are raised for a longer period of time than most pigs, experiencing all four seasons of the land.

In addition to eating green grass, its roots, nuts, and mineral-rich soil, they also eat microbial feed (like natto or miso), vegetable scraps, rice, beer lees, and wheat to maintain the basic health of their intestines.

The pork has clear fat and a gentle flavor with less wildness for a pasture-raised black pig.
